My client in the plastics packaging space is looking for a Senior R&D Design Engineer to help advance next-generation caps and closures.
This team has already broken ground with innovations like all-PET caps and closures designed for improved recycling and circularity, and the world’s first tethered PET caps—keeping caps connected to containers while driving sustainability and performance.
What you’ll do:
▪️ Lead R&D and design projects for PET caps, closures, and related packaging.
▪️ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring sustainable, low-carbon packaging solutions to market.
▪️ Leverage your thermoforming or injection molding expertise to solve engineering challenges.
▪️ Contribute to products that can impact packaging and multiple downstream industries.
What we’re looking for:
▪️ Strong background in thermoforming or injection molded caps and closures.
▪️ Solid design and product development experience within plastics.
▪️ A track record of innovation and problem-solving.
▪️ Collaborative mindset with the drive to shape the future of packaging.

This is a remote position but someone in California or in or close to Michigan is needed as you will need to spend time in the plants and HQ’s.
